From Chairman, SICASA
Dear Student,
This is a season of relaxation for most of you after your long term hard work for the examination. At the same time you must be eagerly waiting for your results which are expected by July. I wish all of you will come out with flying colours in your examinations.
Let me take this opportunity to request all of you to be conscious of the importance of the Practical Training which is part of the curriculum and is one of the unique features of our profession. Chartered Accountancy is the only profession where a newly entering student is put to practical training from the day one of his or her entry in to the course. This is done with intent to prepare the student to face the vagaries of economy. A 100 % concentration during practical training will ensure your post qualification performance to the expectation of the society.
I now call upon all the students to give your ideas and suggestions for the successful conduct of the forthcoming SICASA Regional Conference which we propose to conduct during the last quarter of the Calendar year. We are in the process of finalising a committee for the same and the students who are interested in being a part of the committee can send their name and details to the Institute at sirc@icai.org. Let us join hands in large numbers and make the conference a mega success.
We are also planning to have cultural programmes as a part of the Regional Conference and I request all the students with special talents to contact the Institute with particulars.
As I have already intimated to you earlier we are planning to have study circle meetings at the SIRC premises every Saturday and I request all the students to actively take part in the same.
Best Wishes,
- CA. K.P. Muralidharan
