The following persons are entitled for membership in the library.

Library Rules and Regulations
  1. The deposit shall be refunded when a person ceases to be member of the library, provided he has no dues to the library.
  2. Refund of Security deposit should be claimed within one year of expiry of library borrower’s ticket. All the cards in possession should be returned at the time of claiming refund.
  3. Each member, student shall be allowed to borrow books for a period of 14 days. The book may be issued for a further period of 14 days, provided there is no demand for the same. Books on loan can be recalled at any time. No postal borrowing is allowed.
  4. An overdue charge of Re.1/- per day will be collected from members and students on each book not returned on the due date. If the book is not returned after reminders, the security deposit will be forfeited and the library user will be debarred from membership of the library. The cost of the book minus the security deposit forfeited will be recovered from the user.
  5. Journals, back volumes of periodicals and reference books will not be lent out.
  6. The borrower is responsible for the book and tickets in their charge. Change of address should be communicated to the library.
  7. Loss of books should be reported to the librarian and the borrower will be required to replace the book by the latest edition. If the book lost is out of print, the borrower shall pay double the cost of the book.
  8. Loss of borrower’s ticket should be reported to the librarian immediately. Duplicate tickets will be issued on payments of Rs/100/- per ticket. However, the borrower is responsible for any books issued against the original card lost by him.
  9. Members / Students making use of library shall enter the particulars legibly in the register maintained for the purpose.
  10. Books taken for consultation to the reference hall shall be returned at the counter.
  11. Personal belongings like books, bags, etc., shall not be brought inside the library.
  12. Smoking, use of Cellular phones is prohibited in the library.
  13. The librarian is authorized to refuse the use of the library facilities to those who do not comply with the rules framed above.

Lunch Hour 1.00 p.m. – 1.30 p.m.
